Mobile phone tracking crackdown in US
The BBC published an article about how the US Government is adding controls to require federal law enforcement agencies to obtain a warrant before using mobile phone tracking (and interception) technology.
Well thank goodness for that. US citizens can sleep easy in their beds.
All the US Government needs to do now is to make it illegal for organised criminals to use this technology or exploit the information they harvest.
What? What’s that?
It’s already illegal?
But that means these organised criminals are behaving like… er, criminals!
This tracking and interception technology exists. It will be used by someone. We have to change the way we behave and use our own technology with these facts in mind.
It does not matter that you don’t want to have to do this. It’s you who have to live with the consequences.
